The civilization that laid the bricks of India, one of the world's oldest, was known as the Indus. Indian history goes way back to 3200 BC with the advent of Hinduism. The first group of people that invaded India were the Aryans in 1500 BC, followed by Persian kings in 500 BC and then by Alexander the great in 326 BC. Arab then came to India and created their empire followed by French, Spanish and British colonies.
